Soludo, The Solution

Image
Soludo, The Solution! As budding politician in school campaigning for the students Union Presidency at the  University of Nigeria, Nsukka, in the 80s, Professor Charles Soludo slogan was " Soludo the solution"! Though, Soludo was defeated in the election by the late Human rights campaigner activist, Chima Ubani, but, Soludo's campaign's slogan resonated very well with lots of students.     As the CBN Governor, Soludo made his marks. He was bold and courageous and as a man with the gift of the gab, Soludo was our darling  that held us bound when dissecting both macro and micro economic analysis! The nation will forever be grateful for his audacious consolidation of banking policy and his failed attempts in  the redenomination of Naira. Though, President Yardua didn't renew his mandate for the second term as CBN Governor despite his sterling performance, it was later revealed that the late President liked him a lot and actually planned to send him to Anambra state

BML: Exemplary leadership

Image
Barrister Morayo Lebi whose acronyms " BML" ( Better My life ) is well resonated with several of his admires and followers world over, is a unique leader with empathy that's second to none. Leadership is mostly about inspiration. It's not always about giving and receiving money. It's about your disposition and reaction to issues. It's about empathy and compassion. Some renagades, touts, layabouts and commoners went to David in a cave but, when David finished with them, they all became men of valour. Purposeful and resourcesful men they became. How did David transform them? It's through inspirational leadership. My wife and I were heading to the Island and suddenly the car was jerking and making troubling sound. The Driver came down to check the likely issues, when it didn't abate, I said we should just drive to BML's office whether we could get any of his staff to take my wife to where she was having an official training.  On getting there, Barrist

Of Ada Owere Chieftaincy, Betty's Pedigree and the Attitude of Altitude

Image
  - Debo Akinbami Chief BUB Anyanwu and Nneoma Dora Anyanwu gave their daughter, Betty, everything but the name Ada, despite being the first child, as usual with her kinfolk. Ada, in Igbo parlance, represents the first daughter of a family; the leader, life and light of the family. But for BUB, he would rather have a child prove deserving of a space than, for mere cultural consonance, confer titular robe that would rob its holder of ultimate heights. Betty was, instead, instilled with traits that would shape her lane and lead her unto luster if care was taken. And indeed, care was taken. Betty set out, shrewdly, carefully carrying herself through the routes. She kept a fixed gaze, avoided both deliberate or accidental dirt that would smear the enviable name BUB had built by rigour. Someone has said, in the words of President Barrack Obama, that "every man is trying to live up to his father's expectations or to make up for his father's mistakes."  The former was true o

Abba Kyrai: PDP Demands Full Investigation

July 29, 2021 Press Statement   The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) demands a forensic investigation into reports that the United States (US) Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) has linked head of IGP Intelligence Response Team, DCP Abba Kyari, to international fraudster, Abbas Ramon, popularly known as Hushpuppi. The revelation of the involvement of Kyari, the head of Nigeria’s intelligence response unit, as a receiver of proceeds of international fraud is worrisome, disturbing and a stain on the integrity of our nation. It is indeed disquieting that the integrity of our nation has fallen so abysmally low under the corrupt and fraud-patronizing President Muhammadu Buhari-led All Progressives Congress (APC) administration, to the extent that the head of its police intelligence unit is being charged in connection with international fraud. Our party demands that the APC administration should not sweep this matter under the carpet given the manifest rapport between Kyari and some top AP
